The Story Behind StudyBlitzer

Every useful tool is born from a real problem. For StudyBlitzer, that problem started with lengthy textbooks, a laptop glowing late into the night, and a mountain of study materials that felt impossible to climb.

A 15-Year Hiatus and a New Beginning

StudyBlitzer is an independent, one-person project: no company, no investors, no ads. The path to building it wasn't traditional.

After a 15+ year hiatus from college, I made the decision to go back and finish what I started. I enrolled at Western Governors University (WGU), a pioneer in self-paced, competency-based learning, where progress is measured by what you know, not how many hours you sit in a lecture hall.

Returning to school after that long away is an incredible feeling, and an immediate reality check. I wasn't just a student anymore. I was a student balancing adult responsibilities, real-world experience, and a need to master dense material as efficiently as possible. I quickly found that the biggest bottleneck wasn't my ability to learn. It was the tedious process of preparing to learn: hours spent reading massive PDFs, copying definitions, and hand-formatting flashcards. I was spending more time organizing my study materials than actually studying them.

I needed a way to blitz through the noise and get straight to what matters.

Why StudyBlitzer Exists

There had to be a better way, not just for me, but for every student juggling work, family, and high-stakes exams. So I built it: paste your notes, drop in a study guide, or add a YouTube lecture, and get accurate flashcards and a practice quiz in seconds.

StudyBlitzer runs on three principles:

• Zero study friction. You shouldn't burn hours preparing to study. Upload your notes and let the tool do the heavy lifting, so your time goes into mastering the material.
• Private by design. Emails, phone numbers, and ID numbers are stripped from your notes in your browser before anything is sent anywhere. Your sets stay private unless you choose to publish them.
• Built for every student. Whether you're an 18-year-old freshman or a returning adult learner finishing a degree after a long break, studying here is free. Browsing, importing, and writing your own sets always will be. Only AI generation has a small daily cap, because AI costs real money to run. (If it saved you a study session, a ☕ coffee covers other students' flashcard generation.)
